The kitchen, led by the owner Koen Sambaer, offers a qualitative seasonal cooking with emphassis on regional and seasonal dishes ,some specialities are pig cheeks in abbeybeer (winter) and Poperingse Hennepot (chicken, rabbit and veal in sour jelly, excellent in hot summerdays).

Meanwhile, the younger generation is very enthousiastic about our wide range of excellent snacks and salads at very reasonable prices.

Suggestions

From march 1st until april 15th 2010 you can enjoy our menu with 'Hopsprouts'.

  • Red gurnard with puree of Jerusalem artichoke, crispy hopsprouts and samphire, luke warm dressing of shrimp.
  • Lambfilet with hopsprouts, broccoli soufflé, compote of tomatoes and Charlotte potatoes with pesto.
The hopsprouts are daily fresh prepared by the chef. Therefore book minimum 2 days in advance. Because the price is determined each day, it is not possible to state this now.

Some suggestions:


Baked anglerfish, scampi and scallops. Currysauce and wild rice. € 24.00

 

Pork cheeks with St.-Bernardus Prior, French beans and braised potatoes € 18.00
